Referral terms

These terms explain how referrals and rewards are handled. MiddleMan may update them as the offer changes.

Offer eligibility

The property seller offer may provide a $1,000 reward where the referral claim is eligible, the lead sells through the assigned partner, settlement occurs, and MiddleMan approves the payout.

Valid referrals

A valid referral must be genuine, submitted in good faith, and include enough information for MiddleMan to assess it under the offer rules.

Referral types

Permissioned referrals, warm intros, unpermissioned tips, and partial-detail submissions are handled differently. Permission controls whether direct contact is allowed.

No guaranteed reward

Submitting a referral, tip, or intro does not guarantee payment.

Reward trigger

Rewards are only payable after the completion trigger and admin approval. They are not paid at submission, appraisal, first contact, appointment, or proposal.

First valid eligible claim

Where multiple people submit the same lead, MiddleMan will usually recognise the first valid eligible claim, subject to evidence and offer terms.

Duplicate claims

Duplicate claims may be reviewed, merged, rejected, or disputed by admin.

False or spam submissions

False, malicious, spam, harassing, or misleading submissions may be closed and made ineligible.

Privacy and permission

Lead details are handled according to permission status and approach mode. Referrers must not submit direct-contact referrals without permission.

No acting as provider

Referrers must not negotiate, appraise, advise, advertise, or act as the service provider unless formally authorised and licensed where required.

Payout process

Payouts are manually reviewed and handled offline. MiddleMan may contact the referrer directly for payment details.

Tax responsibility

Referrers are responsible for their own tax advice and obligations.

Disputes and changes

MiddleMan may review disputes and update offer terms. Changes may affect future submissions.
