Referral terms

These terms are a draft for product development and must be reviewed by a qualified lawyer before production use.

Offer eligibility

For the current property-seller referral offer, an eligible claim may receive $1,000 AUD, inclusive of GST. The referred person must sell through the agent or partner MiddleMan connects them with, the sale must settle, and MiddleMan must approve the payout.

Valid referrals

A valid referral must be genuine, submitted in good faith, and include enough information for MiddleMan to review the opportunity. A name, suburb, contact detail, property address, selling timeframe, or useful context may help us assess the claim.

Submission types

You may submit a permissioned referral, a warm introduction, a tip, or a partial-detail submission. Permissioned referrals may allow direct contact. Tips and partial-detail submissions may need further review before they can become reward eligible.

No guaranteed reward

Submitting a referral does not guarantee payment. No reward is payable unless the claim meets the offer rules, the referred person sells through the assigned agent or partner, settlement occurs, and MiddleMan approves the claim.

First valid claim

If more than one person refers the same lead, MiddleMan will review the timing, details, permission status, and available evidence. Usually, the first valid eligible claim will be treated as the active claim.

When a claim may be declined

A claim may be declined if the lead is already known to the assigned agent or partner, another valid claim exists, the information is false or misleading, the submission is spam or malicious, or the referral does not complete under the active offer.

Permission and privacy

Only submit information you genuinely believe is appropriate to share. If the referred person has asked not to be contacted, or later asks MiddleMan or an assigned partner to stop contact, that request will be respected.

Referrer conduct

You must not present yourself as an agent, broker, adviser, or provider on behalf of MiddleMan. Do not pressure anyone, make promises about outcomes, or mislead a referred person about the referral program.

Payout and tax

If a claim is approved, MiddleMan will contact you to arrange payment details. You are responsible for any tax obligations that apply to a reward you receive.

Expiry and changes

Referral eligibility may expire if the lead does not progress within the offer period or if the offer changes. MiddleMan may update, pause, or withdraw referral offers where needed.

Disputes

MiddleMan may make the final decision on eligibility, duplicate claims, evidence, payout approval, and disputes connected with a referral offer.
